Booking Conditions
1.A non refundable deposit of 33% of the total cost of the stay, minimum
EURO 200 per week and a completed reservation form must be sent when you request
a booking. This constitutes an offer by you and a contract shall come into
existence if and when we accept the booking in writing. Once a booking has been
confirmed a fee of EURO 60 may be charged for alterations.
2. The balance is payable two months before the beginning of your holiday.If
you cancel, and we receive notice from you in writing over two months before the
beginning of your holiday then you only forfeit your deposit. If you cancel at
shorter notice there is no refund. If the balance of the agreed cost is not paid
in full by the due date Kerry Cottages shall be entitled to cancel the booking
without notice to the client and without incurring any liability to the client
in respect of any loss or damage following such cancellation. Insurance against
cancellation is strongly recommended.
3. A security deposit of EURO 150 is payable on arrival at the
cottage. This will be refunded to you by post after your stay provided the terms
and conditions of rental have been complied with. When there are more than five
visitors, and for winter bookings we may request an additional deposit.
4. Bedroom linen is supplied - one set per booking and one
towel per person. Solid fuel is at extra
cost. Power for lighting, heating and cooking is extra and is payable on
departure or before departure in cash. It is recommended that the cost per unit
be checked at the outset.
5. Possession must be taken between 4pm and 6 pm, cottages must be vacated by
10 am on the day of departure. In your own interest if you wish to arrive later
than these times please let us know in advance. If you intend to depart early
please inform the supervisor on the previous day.
6. The management reserves the right to cancel a reservation when the number
of persons in the party is greater than stated on the reservation form, unless
agreed in writing. There will be no refund should this occur.
7. The management reserves the right to upgrade you to a larger cottage
without notifying the client.
8.Visitors are responsible for any damage done, or loss sustained to the
cottage. Visitors are expected to take all reasonable care, and must leave all
utensils clean and the cottage in a tidy condition on departure.
9 If the customer has any complaint about any services forming part of the
holiday to which the booking relates he should commicate that complaint at the
earliest opportunity (and in any event within 24 hours)to the superviser . If
the complaint is not promptly resolved to the customer’s satisfaction, he
should immediately repeat the complaint in writing to the supervisor and to
Kerry Cottages and should keep a copy of that written complaint. Unless the
customer is able to estabilish that this procedure has been followed exactly
Kerry Cottages shall be under no liability whatsoever in respect of the matters giving
rise to this complaint.
10 If the customer wishes to persue any unresolved complaint on his return
from holiday, he should at the earliest opportunity (and in any event within 28
days after the scheduled date of return) communicate that complaint in writing
to Kerry Cottages 3 Royal Terrace West, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, Ireland
enclosing a copy of the written complaint. Any such written complaint will be
promptly investigated by Kerry Cottages. Unless a written complaint is made to
Kerry Cottages within 28 days after the scheduled date of return, Kerry Cottages
shall
be under no liability whatsover in respect of the matters giving rise to the
complaint.
11 We regret - no pets.
12 The right of entry to the property at all reasonable times is reserved by
the owners with or without work persons for the purpose of inspection
or to carry out any repair deemed necessary to the property or equipment,
including gardening.
13. The proprietors and their agents are not liable for any accident, loss or
damage sustained by patrons in relation to their property.
14 The management reserves the right to refuse to hand over accommodation to
any person who in their opinion is not suitable to take charge.
15. Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under 18.
16. In the extremely unlikely event of any occurrence making it necessary for
Kerry Cottages to cancel the booking, Kerry Cottages' liability shall be limited to
the immediate return in full of all monies paid.
17. These conditions may not be waived or varied except in writing by
the owners.
18. The person signing this reservation form has the authority of
every member of their party to accept all these terms and conditions.
19. Prices include 12.5% value added tax.
20. In the event of non-arrival or when notice of late arrival has not been
received the proprietors may re-let from midday the following day.
